O'Donnell Sets New Career High as Bobcats Down Pioneers

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team picked up their second MAAC win of the season as they defeated the Sacred Heart Pioneers, 78-63, on Saturday afternoon.
Ella O'Donnell set a new career-high, scoring 24 points on 72.7% (8-for-11) from the floor and 8-for-11 from the charity stripe. Jackie Grisdale added 16 points, knocking down four threes in the win.
The Bobcats and Pioneers played a tight opening quarter, with Quinnipiac leading 17-15 after ten minutes. QU outscored Sacred Heart 25-12 in the second quarter to blow the game open.
Quinnipiac continued to dominate out of the halftime break, holding a 19-point lead heading into the final quarter.
The Pioneers managed to outscore the Bobcats in the final frame, but it was not enough as the Bobcats defeated Sacred Heart 78-63.
