No. 11 Bobcats Take Down No. 5 Clarkson

HAMDEN, Conn. – The No. 11 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team shutout No. 5 Clarkson 3-0 in Hamden on Friday night.
The two ranked teams battled for footing early, with Kaley Doyle making several huge stops in the first 10 minutes as the Bobcats settled in.
Halfway through the second period, Sophie Urban battled below the goal line and found Kathryn Stockdale in front of the net who broke the scoreless tie.
Despite trading chances back and forth neither team would score until Clarkson pulled their goaltender and Tessa Holk and Kendall Cooper each scored empty net goals.

STATS & NOTES
- Kaley Doyle notched her fourth shutout of the season to lead the country.
- She made a season-high 30 saves in the win.
- Kendall Cooper had a goal and an assist to bring her point total to 99, breaking Kate Reilly's record for most career points by a Bobcat defender.
- Cooper now sits in sole place of ninth on the program's all-time points list.
- She also notched her 25th career multi-point game, most on the Bobcats.
- Sophie Urban, Taylor Brueske, and Kathryn Stockdale each notched an assist.
- Kathryn Stockdale tallied a goal and an assist for the sixth multi-point game of her career.
- This is QU's first win over Clarkson since Nov. 18, 2022.
- It's also the Bobcats' first top five win since beating Yale Oct. 21, 2023.
