FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Quinnipiac University women's soccer team fell in the regular season finale to the Fairfield Stags by a final score of 2-0 on Wednesday evening.

With the loss, the Bobcats close out the regular season with a 12-4-1 overall and 10-2 mark in the MAAC, finishing in second place in the conference.

The Stags got on the board first in the 24^th minute of action as Maddy Theriault found the back of the net.

Fairfield doubled their lead in the 71^st minute to give them a two-goal lead with 19 minutes left in the game.

NOTES

With the loss, the Bobcats finished in second place in the MAAC and will host the quarterfinals in Hamden.
Sofia Lospinoso made four saves for the Bobcats in the loss.
The Bobcats were outshot 12-8 and 6-3 in shots on goal.
Quinnipiac earned four corners, while Fairfield earned five.
