Borgula extends goal-scoring streak to four
HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 10/11 Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey program fell to New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 3-2 matchup to the Wildcats at M&T Bank Arena.
Quinnipiac was able to cut the deficit to a single goal on two separate occasions, but could not find the equalizer in the final 3:19 of game action after Tyler Borgula made it 3-2 off a cross-ice feed from Cooper Moore.
New Hampshire scored the first two goals of the contest, scoring in the latter 10 minutes of the frame to take a 2-0 advantage heading into the third.
The captain Travis Treloar cut the deficit to one, jamming home a puck at the back post.
It only took 27 seconds for New Hampshire to respond, getting the third goal they would need in the end.
STATS AND NOTES
The Bobcats hit the road next Saturday, as they take on Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass.

STATS AND NOTES
- Borgula has now extended his goalscoring streak to four games and has a team-high four on the year.
- Andon Cerbone recorded two more assists on the night, finishing with four for the weekend. He is tied for the team lead with five on the season, all coming in the last three games.
- Jeremy Wilmer added an assist, extending his points streak to three.
- Dylan Silverstein one-upped his career high, making 30 saves on the night. He made 59 on 64 shots towards net over the two-game series.
