
No. 8 Bobcats Battle to Tie With Minnesota Duluth

HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 8 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team overcame a two-goal third period deficit to tie No. 6 Minnesota Duluth on Saturday afternoon.
Minnesota Duluth scored just under three minutes into the game on a breakaway.
They added one more later in the second period to head into the third period with a 2-0 lead.
Logan Angers kept the Bobcats within striking distance the entire game before they could get on the board.
With just under six minutes left Maddy Samoskevich received a pass from Jess Schryver to get the Bobcats within one.
After pulling Angers, Sadie Peart potted a one-timer from the slot to force the game to overtime.
Neither team would score in the extra frame, ending in a 2-2 tie.

The Bobcats are back in action next weekend shipping up to Boston to face Harvard on Friday, and Dartmouth on Saturday. Puck drop for Friday is set for 6:00 PM while Saturday will start at 4:00 PM.
