Bobcats Down No. 6 Minnesota Duluth in Hamden

HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 8 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team battled past No. 6 Minnesota Duluth 2-1 on Friday night to move to 19-3 on the year.
Minnesota Duluth got the scoring started in the first period, scoring just over halfway through the first frame.
Kendall Cooper would tie it up with a minute to go in the period when she went to the net after a Nina Steigauf faceoff.
Logan Angers kept the game even, making 13 saves in the middle frame.
Nina Steigauf scored the game winner after she picked up a loose puck in front of the net and put it past the goalie.
