Five Different Bobcats Score As They Complete Weekend Sweep Of Maine

HAMDEN, Conn. — Five different Bobcats tally goals as Quinnipiac completed the weekend sweep of the Maine Black Bears by a score of 5-1 on Saturday afternoon.
The Bobcats fell behind late in the first period when Maine's Lily Fetch opened up the scoring.
The second period was all Bobcats as Maya Labad slid the puck past the Maine goaltender to even up the score at one just 4:44 into the period.
Late in the second period, it was Jess Schryver's turn as she received a saucer pass from Kahlen Lamarche and tipped the puck through the goalie's five hole.
The third period was all Bobcats, starting with Nina Steigauf who scored just 51 seconds into the final frame. Sadie Peart was credited with the assist on the goal.
Sophomore forward Emerson Jarvis scored her first goal as a Bobcat off a nice pass from Julia Nearis after Kendall Cooper dumped the puck into the zone.
Kendall Cooper capped off the scoring for the Bobcats with her second goal in as many games. Sadie Peart and Kahlen Lamarche recorded assists on the fifth goal of the game.

STATS AND NOTES
- After scoring 16 goals a season ago, Maya Labad tallied her first goal of the campaign. Labad led the team with six shots on goal.
- Jess Schryver recorded the first goal of her graduate season in the second period.
- Nina Steigauf and Emerson Jarvis also scored their first goals of the season. Jarvis's goal marked the first of her Bobcat career.
- Kendall Cooper now has goals in back-to-back games. She also added an assist on the Bobcats' fourth goal.
- First year Kahlen Lamarche and graduate student Sadie Peart each recorded two assists in the winning effort.
- Logan Angers stopped 28 of the 29 shots she faced.
