
DiStefano, St. Germain Finish 1-2 in Bobcats' Victory

MONTGOMERY, N.Y. — Senior Liv DiStefano and sophomore Rachel St. Germain finished 1-2 to lead the Quinnipiac women's cross country team to a team victory, its second in as many races, topping 18 different squads at the Jasper Fall XC Invite on Saturday morning at Twin Ponds on the Farm.
The Bobcats got an early look at the site of the MAAC Championships, with three runners finishing inside the Top 4 and all five scorers inside the Top 15 to earn the win. DiStefano was the only sub-21:00 runner on the course, finishing the 6k in 20:56.6.
St. Germain clocked in at 21:03.6 and Corinne Barney finished less than three seconds later, placing fourth in 21:06.5.

- DiStefano earned her third collegiate victory, adding to her Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown and SHU/QU Winter Dual wins. She also ran her fastest 6k, besting her previous time of 21:20.6 at the 2021 MAAC Championships.
- St. Germain recorded her highest finish in a collegiate race, after a fifth-place finish last week. She also ran a new collegiate best, finishing nearly 30 seconds ahead of her 21:32.5 at last year's MAAC Championships.
- Barney PR'ed as well in the race, besting her 21:45.1 finish at the 2022 MAAC Championships. It is her second-highest finish as a Bobcat only to her third-place finish at the Siena Invitational last fall.
- Marisa Keiser ran a new collegiate-best time, finishing three seconds ahead of her previous best. She finished 31st overall in 22:37.9.
- Grace Michaud finished in 22:42.5, a new fastest time as a Bobcat.
UP NEXT
The Bobcats enter the national portion of their schedule, competing in the Paul Short Run on Sept. 30 on the campus of Lehigh University. That meet will be followed by the New England Championships and XC23 Pre-Nationals.
