HAMDEN, Conn. — The Quinnipiac women's cross country team and head coach Carolyn Martin released its 2023 schedule on Tuesday, setting up a five-meet regular season before they defend their conference title in late October.
"We are all so excited to start the season," Martin said. "We have an incredible group returning, including some great leadership in our senior and graduate class. Our women are ready to push themselves to new heights this season!"
The Bobcats' pre-championship slate begins on Long Island, when they take part in the Stony Brook Season Opener on Saturday, Sept. 2.
They will then get their first look at the MAAC Championship course, running the Jasper Fall Invite at Twin Ponds on the Farm, site of the 2023 title meet, on Sept. 16 in Montgomery, N.Y.
The national part of the schedule takes center stage as the calendar shifts, with the Bobcats heading to the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh on Sept. 30 and the New England Championships on Oct. 7, where they also took first a season ago.
Oct. 20 will be the final championship tune-up, as Quinnipiac heads up the road to New Britain and the annual CCSU Mini Meet at Stanley Quarter Park.
The MAAC Championships are slated for Oct. 28 at Twin Ponds on the Farm, with the NCAA Regionals again at Van Cortlandt Park on Nov. 10.
