
QU Tops Fairfield to Earn 7th MAAC Title

WEST WINDSOR, NJ – Quinnipiac women's tennis won its second consecutive MAAC title on Sunday, defeating Fairfield by the final score of 4-1 at Mercer County Tennis Courts.
Quinnipiac has now won seven MAAC championships/advanced to the NCAA Tournament seven times since joining the league (2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2021-22, 2022-23).
First-year Nikole Lisovyy was named MAAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player. Lisovyy – who won the clinching match at No. 6 singles – went 4-0 over the weekend in postseason play.

- Jordan Bradley / Nicole Lisovyy won at No. 2 doubles, and Vera Sekerina / Claire Koscielski won at No. 3 doubles to help the Bobcats pick up the first point of the match. QU won at 2 and 3 doubles to secure the first point in the semifinal round vs. Mount St. Mary's, as well.
- Alessia Truden picked up a win at No. 2 singles, Vera Sekerina won at No. 4 and Nicole Lisovyy won at 6 singles.
- Truden moves to 7-0 vs. singles opponents in MAAC action this year.
- Sekerina won 6-3, 6-5 at No. 4 singles.
- Lisovyy cliched the victory for the Bobcats, as the first-year finished off a perfect 4-0 week. The first-year is now 8-0 against MAAC opponents in singles play.
- Lisovyy won both her singles matches of the weekend in MAAC Tournament action. She now has with 18 singles victories in 2022-23.
- Quinnipiac has now won seven MAAC championships/advanced to the NCAA Tournament seven times since joining the league (2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2021-22, 2022-23).
- Since joining the conference in 2013-14, the Bobcats have won the regular season outright eight times and have compiled a dominating 60-1 MAAC regular season record over the timespan.
