LOUDONVILLE, N.Y.—The Quinnipiac softball team lost a close matchup to Siena after battling back from a 4-0 deficit. Siena took an early 3-0 lead into the fourth inning before adding one more and taking a 4-0 lead into the fifth. The Bobcats started their comeback in the sixth with a run and put up three runs in the top of the seventh to even the score at four before a groundout walk off run gave Siena the victory. QU dropped game two against the Saints, 4-2.

SCORING SUMMARY
Game one
First Inning-

Siena took a 3-0 lead in the first, with Pardo on third and Vargas on second, the Saints singled to right to bring Pardo home. Vargas scored on the next play which was a fielding error as short. Fitzmaurice advanced to third on a passed ball and scored on a sacrifice flyout to right field.

Fourth Inning-

The Saints added another to the board as a double down the left field line by Fletcher brought Bonewit across homeplate.

Sixth Inning-

Hannah Davis scored on a double by Bridget Nasir to cut Siena's lead to three.

Seventh Inning-

QU tied the game up at four as Mary Fogg scored on a fielder's choice on H. Davis' at bat.
With H. Davis on third and Lala Pascual on second, Nasir doubled to right center and brought both in to score.
With the game tied up at four, Siena had runners on second and third and brought Parker in to pinch hit for Vargas. Parker singled to first and Swinson scored the walk off run.

Game two
Second Inning-

Siena took another early lead in the second frame, a two-run RBI single from Giampolo brought Peterson and Ulrich in to score. Their third run of the inning came from a sacrifice flyout to center to give Giampolo time to cross home.

Third Inning-

The Saints took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the third as a double from Bonewit brought Fitzmaurice, who was on third, across home plate.

Sixth Inning-

The Bobcats cut Siena's lead by one in the sixth again, as Hilliard scored on a single from Natalia Apatiga.

Seventh Inning-

QU wasn't done yet, adding another run in the seventh Sofia Vega scored from second as Hilliard's double to left center cut Siena's lead in half. However, it wasn't enough as Siena took the game 4-2.
