Bobcats Late Third Period Push Not Enough, Face St. Lawrence in Game 3

HAMDEN, Conn-- The No. 8 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team dropped game 2 of the ECAC Hockey quarterfinals to St. Lawrence 3-2, despite a late third period push by the Bobcats. Graduate captain Lexie Adzija tallied the teams two goals on the night, with her first goal scored on the powerplay.
Graduate netminder Logan Angers faced 35 shots from the Saints.

- (0:40, 1st period, PP) Quinnipiac 1, St. Lawrence 0: The Bobcats struck fast and early in the first minute of play against St. Lawrence. Captain Lexie Adzija was able to get a low angle shot off from the far circle that deflected off of Saints netminder Lucy Morgan's stick and into the net to give the Bobcats the lead.
- (0:52, 2nd period, EV) Quinnipiac 1, St. Lawrence 1: The Saints even the score at one in the second period when Taylor Lum was able to beat Logan Angers five hole.
- (11:39, 3rd period, PP) Quinnipiac 1, St. Lawrence 2: Julia Gosling added to the Saints lead when she ripped a one timer from the far circle.
- (18:39, 3rd period, EN) Quinnipiac 1, St. Lawrence 3: Aly McLeod put the Saints up 3-1 on the empty netter four seconds after Angers got on the bench in favor of the extra attacker.
- (19:19.1, 3rd period, EA) Quinnipiac 2, St. Lawrence 3: Adzija scored her second of the night with the man advantage as Angers headed to the bench once again. Adzija buried the rebound on Nina Steigauf's shot from the slot to cut the Saints lead to one with 40.9 seconds to go. It was not enough however, as St. Lawrence was able to force game 3.

- Logan Angers made 32 saves on 35 shots.
- Lexie Adzija tallied her second two goal game of the year.
- Adzija leads the team in powerplay goals after recorded her fifth of the season.
- The Saints and Bobcats were fairly even at the faceoff dot, with the Bobcats winning 31 and the Saints taking 32.
