EMMITSBURG, Md. – In her first crack at 500 career wins Quinnipiac women's basketball head coach Tricia Fabbri accomplished the feat, leading her team to a 75-55 victory over Mount St. Mary's on the road Thursday evening. I head coach to accomplish the feat at one institution without coaching at another.
With the win, the Bobcats improved to 18-7 overall on the season and 13-3 in the MAAC, while the Mountaineers fell to 10-14 overall and 6-9 in conference play. The win extended Quinnipiac's win streak to nine games, the longest since the 2018-19 season with 21 consecutive wins.
The Bobcats were stifling defensively to start, holding Mount St. Mary's to 1-for-19 (5.2%) from the field over the first 8:24 of the contest to jump out to a 12-2 lead. However, the Mountaineers closed the quarter with a 5-1 run to trim the Bobcats' lead to 13-7 entering the second.

The Bobcats held the advantage, outscoring the Mountaineers 14-9 during that span to increase its lead to 27-16 before Mount St. Mary's called a timeout.
Out of the timeout, Quinnipiac went on a quick 5-0 run to extend the lead to 16 points before the Mountaineers called for another timeout.
The Bobcats maintained their double-digit lead into the half, carrying a 36-23 advantage into the break.
