Quinnipiac maintained momentum in the fourth, opening the frame with a 7-0 run, capped by a three from Jackie Grisdale to extend Quinnipiac's lead to 11, its largest of the game.
Fairfield did not go away quietly, responding with a 13-2 run to take a 51-50 lead with 1:22 remaining in regulation. After a Quinnipiac timeout, Morris received the ball at the high post, made a spin toward the basket, and made the layup to put the Bobcats ahead, 52-51.
