No. 7 Bobcats Complete Comeback to Beat Princeton

PRINCETON, NJ. — The No. 7 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team overcame a 5-3 third period deficit to top No. 12 Princeton 6-5 in overtime on Saturday, Dec. 12.
The game was back and forth from the start, Princeton scored just over six minutes in.
Late in the period, the Bobcats started to get going when Julia Nearis made a move and scored to even the contest.
Just over two minutes later, Nearis found Kate Reilly in the offensive zone, and she shot it just over the Princeton goaltender's shoulder.
Madison Chantler added one more on the power play just before the end of the first after receiving a pass from Sadie Peart in the slot.
Princeton would control the second, scoring four goals in the period.
After Princeton received a five minute major for direct contact to the head, Kendall Cooper found the back of the net on a shot from the point for a power play goal.
Two minutes later, Sadie Peart tapped in a rebound off a Kate Reilly shot to bring the Bobcats even.
Just over halfway through overtime Kate Reilly skated through the offensive zone before finding Sadie Peart in front of the net for the tip-in goal to win the game.

- Kate Reilly recorded a career-high five points.
- Reilly also extended her point streak to nine games.
- She now leads the Bobcats in points with 25 on the year.
- Sadie Peart scored the game-tying and game-winning goal in overtime, as well as chipping in an assist.
- This was her sixth multi-point game of the season and 23rd of her career.
- Peart broke the Bobcats career games played record today, playing in her 152nd game as a Bobcat.
- She also won 15 of 26 faceoffs in the game.
- Julia Nearis recorded her fourth multi-point game of the season with a goal and an assist.
- Kendall Cooper notched three points for her sixth multi-point game of the season.
- Logan Angers made a season-high 41 saves, including 23 in the first period.
- Kahlen Lamarche dished three assists in the victory, her third multi-assist game of the season.
