
QU Tops LIU to End 2023

HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 8 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team handled LIU 7-0 at M&T Bank Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Kendall Cooper got the Bobcats going early on with a shorthanded goal after receiving a pass from Sadie Peart.
Kahlen Lamarche added on to the lead with a tally of her own by shooting the puck off the goaltender's back from below the goal line.
With just under a minute left in the first period, Veronica Bac found the back of the net after a scramble in front.
Kendall Cooper scored again by putting away a rebound for the lone goal of the second period.
Less than 30 seconds into the third period Kahlen Lamarche found twine again to push the lead to five.
Julia Nearis would score 10 seconds later on passes from Jess Schryver and Nina Steigauf.
Maya Labad added one more on the powerplay with just under 10 minutes to play.
