HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 8 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team handled LIU 7-0 at M&T Bank Arena on Saturday afternoon.

Kendall Cooper got the Bobcats going early on with a shorthanded goal after receiving a pass from Sadie Peart.

Kahlen Lamarche added on to the lead with a tally of her own by shooting the puck off the goaltender's back from below the goal line.

With just under a minute left in the first period, Veronica Bac found the back of the net after a scramble in front.

Kendall Cooper scored again by putting away a rebound for the lone goal of the second period.

Kahlen Lamarche tallied a career-high four points.
She's up to 21 points on the season.
Kendall Cooper scored two goals, making it eight goals on the season.
She now has 23 multi-point games in her Bobcat career.
Cooper is now tied for second in the nation for points among defenders with 22.
Maddy Samoskevich recorded two assists in the win for the seventh multi-assist game of her career.
Sadie Peart also dished two assists and is now tied for the team lead in points.
Veronica Bac notched a goal and an assist for the second multi-point game of her career.
Kate Reilly added an assist for her 26th point of the year to continue to lead the nation's defenders in scoring.
She also continued her point streak, extending it to 10 games.
Seven other Bobcats recorded a point in the win as well.

UP NEXT
The Bobcats are back in Hamden next weekend to finish their non-conference slate, hosting Minnesota Duluth on Friday and Saturday at M&T Bank Arena. Puck drop is set for 6:00 PM on Friday, and 3:00 PM on Saturday.
