LaBarge Nets Career-High 20 Points in Bobcats' Loss at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. – Junior forward Grace LaBarge scored a career-high 20 points in the Quinnipiac women's basketball team's road loss at Princeton, 61-59, Wednesday evening inside of Jadwin Gymnasium.
Jackie Grisdale added 12 points in the loss, while Anna Foley contributed 13 points of her own in the contest.
With the loss, the Bobcats fell to 2-5 in the early campaign, while Princeton improved to 6-3 to start the 2023-24 season.
The Tigers used the opening 4:23 of the contest to jump out to an early 15-5 lead, forcing Quinnipiac head coach Tricia Fabbri to call a timeout to halt the Princeton momentum. Out of the break, the Bobcats responded by closing the frame with an 11-4 run to trim the deficit to 19-16 entering the second quarter.
The Tigers held the Bobcats to just six points over the first six minutes of action in the second quarter, increasing their lead to 34-22. The Bobcats closed the half by scoring 12 points in just under four minutes to trim Princeton's lead to 44-34 at the midway point.
The two sides were even at 10-10 through the first 5:30 of the second half, with Princeton carrying a 54-44 advantage into the media timeout. Quinnipiac could not cut into the Tigers' lead before the end of the frame, finding themselves down 12 entering the fourth quarter.
Princeton opened the fourth quarter with a 12-7 run to extend its lead to 76-59 with 4:08 remaining in regulation. The Bobcats were unable to get over the hump, eventually falling in the contest, 79-70.
