No. 4/5 Bobcats' Continue Unbeaten ECAC Run

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — The Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team made it eight straight unbeaten to open league play on Saturday afternoon, as the No. 4/5 Bobcats knocked off Union 5-0 at Messa Rink on Saturday afternoon.
The win ensured a road sweep for the Bobcats as they have claimed 22 of a possible 24 points in the 2023 portion of their league slate.
Sam Lipkin recorded his second, multi-goal performance of the season, scoring the visitor's third and fifth tallies of the night as the Bobcats recorded a 10-1 combined scoreline for the weekend.
After a goalless first frame, Christophe Fillion and CJ McGee scored 71 and 109 seconds into the second period to get the Bobcats rolling.
Vinny Duplessis recorded his second shutout in a Bobcat uniform and sixth of his collegiate career, stopping all 23 shots on his net.

Quinnipiac will host a Skate with the Bobcats outing on Saturday, bringing LIU to M&T Bank Arena for a 4 p.m., puck drop in Hamden.

- Lipkin has matched his multi-goal total from a season ago, recording his second of the campaign and fourth of his career. He had a pair of goals against AIC on Oct. 14 this season.
- Victor Czerneckianair recorded his third, multi-point game of his career and second of the season with a goal and an assist.
- Christophe Tellier added a pair of assists as well, his fourth-such performance in a Bobcat uniform. He has a point in 12 of his 16 appearances this season.
- The Bobcats have now won seven in a row against Union, owning a 25-17-5 advantage in the series.
- It is the third shutout of the season for the Bobcats.
