No. 7/8 Bobcats Roll Past No. 15/19 Harvard

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The No. 7/8 Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team rolled on Saturday night, scoring four in the third to run away from No. 15/19 Harvard by a 6-0 final at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center.
Quinnipiac flew out of the gates, firing 17 shots on net in the first period as Christophe Fillion's tally made it 1-0 after 20.
Anthony Cipollone doubled the lead, skating from end to end and firing a puck towards the net that deflected off a Harvard defender and into the net after skating.
It was in the third that the Bobcats would explode, scoring at the 2:49 mark and then three times in a 3:08 span in the latter half of the frame to seize control of the game.
Vinny Duplessis recorded his first shutout in a Bobcat uniform, stopping all 17 shots on his net.

STATS AND NOTES
- The 6-0 defeat is the largest margin of victory for either team in the series' history, dating back to the Bobcats' entrance into the ECAC in 2005.
- Fillion recorded his second, multi-goal game and first since the 2020-21 campaign with a pair tonight. He scored two goals against LIU on Feb. 22, 2021. It is also his ninth career, multi-point outing and first of the campaign.
- Both Victor Czerneckianair and Mason Marcellus recorded a pair of assists on the day, the first such performance in each of their careers. It is also each of their's second, multi-point outing.
- Cerbone added his second, multi-point outing of the season, dishing an assist along with his goal.
- Quinnipiac has now won three in a row in the series, winning those games by a combined 13-1. The Bobcats own a 19-18-5 advantage in the matchup.
