Bobcats Punch Their Ticket To The MAAC Championship

HAMDEN, Conn. — Courtney Chochol's penalty kick goal stood as the game-winner as the Bobcats defeated the Rider Broncs in the MAAC Semifinals on Thursday, November 2^nd.

The Bobcats' defense was stellar as they held Rider to just six shot attempts, with Sofia Lospinoso making two saves.

With the win, the Bobcats move on to the MAAC Championship match against the Fairfield Stags on Sunday at 12 PM.

(46' – Quinnipiac 1, Rider 0) –Markela Bejleri was taken down in the box and awarded a penalty kick. Chochol stepped up to take it and beat the Broncs' goalkeeper to the bottom right corner to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead.

NOTES

Chochol's penalty kick goal was her seventh goal of the season and pushed her season points total to 25.
Lospinoso recorded two saves en route to her eighth clean sheet of the season.
The Bobcats have won 15 straight games against MAAC opponents, dating back to last season.
