No. 9 Bobcats Top No. 6 Cornell

ITHACA, N.Y. — The No. 9 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team scored twice in the second period to secure a 3-1 victory over No. 6 Cornell.
Both teams were held scoreless in the first period, goaltender Logan Angers made eight saves in the frame to keep the Bobcats in it.
Five minutes into the second, First Year Kahlen Lamarche intercepted a pass in the offensive zone and shot and scored to give the Bobcats the lead.
Ten minutes later Emerson Jarvis picked up a rebound off a blocked shot and fired a shot past the Cornell goalie for the second goal.
Cornell got one back shorthanded with just over seven minutes left in the game.
With under a minute left, Julia Nearis hit Jess Schryver on the breakout and she hit the empty net to seal the Bobcats victory.
