NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Quinnipiac men's soccer dropped a road MAAC matchup by the final score of 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Mazzella Field.
Brage Aasen scored QU's lone goal of the day, tying things 1-1 at the time in the 22nd minute of action. Tomas Svecula registered an assist on the play.
QU moves to 2-5-3 with the loss (0-1-2 MAAC).

The Bobcats return to the pitch on Wednesday, Oct. 11, traveling to Poughkeepsie to take on Marist.

- Aasen's goal is his fifth of the season. He now has 26 goals and 75 points for his career with the Bobcats. He's scored 5+ goals in each of his last four years at QU.
- Svecula now has a team-high seven assists this year, with three helpers coming in the last four contests.
- Total shots finished 13-9 in favor of Iona. The Gaels had seven corner chances to Quinnipiac's one.
- QU keeper Karl Netzell stopped four shots.
