Bobcats Tied For Third After Day One At Lady Blue Hen Invitational

REHOBOTH BEACH, DE. – The Quinnipiac women's golf program wrapped up day one of the Lady Blue Hen Invitational after 36 holes of golf were played on Saturday, October 21^st. The Bobcats currently sit in a tie for 3^rd place with Harvard out of eleven teams.

Samantha Galantini finished day one in eighth place after shooting a 76 (+4) in round one and a 72 (E) in round two to finish off her day.

Leeyen Peralta and Aimee Uchida sit in a tie for ninth place after the first day of competition. Peralta shot a 79 (+7) in the first round and a 70 (-2) in the second round, while Uchida shot a 75 (+3) and a 74 (+2) in round one and two respectively.

First year Natalie Spiska shot a 77 (+5) in both rounds to put her in a tie for 25^th place as she sits at a +10.

Meg Yoshida rounded out the Quinnipiac grouping, shooting a 78 (+6) and a 77 (+5) to put her into a tie for 40^th place after 36 holes.

Competing as an individual, Alexia Egdahl sits in a tie for 48^th place. Egdahl shot a 83 (+11) and a 78 (+6) to wrap up her day.

The Bobcats will be back in action on, Sunday, October 22^nd as they compete in day two of the Lady Blue Hen Invitational at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club in Rehoboth Beach, DE.

SCORES AND NOTES

The Bobcats sit just ten strokes behind the leader, University of Delaware, who is at a +14.
Galantini leads the Bobcats with 7 birdies on day one of the Lady Blue Hen Invitational.
Peralta leads the team with 29 pars after the first 36 holes of golf.
