Peralta, Bobcats Capture Quinnipiac Classic Title

WALLINGFORD, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's golf program captured the Quinnipiac Classic title on Tuesday afternoon at the Farms Country Club in Wallingford, Conn. Leeyen Peralta captured her second tournament win of the season, shooting a 219 (+3) after 54 holes.
Leeyen Peralta came into the final day in a tie for third place, but her round of 71 (-1) pushed her to the top of the leaderboard for her second tournament win of the season.
Samantha Galantini had herself a day as she finished in third place after shooting a 74 (+2) in the final 18 holes.
Meg Yoshida wrapped a stellar two days of play in Wallingford, shooting a 74 (+2) to close the tournament at 230 (+14)
Aimee Uchida finished right behind Galantini, in fourth place, and just two strokes behind her (225; +9). Uchida shot a 77 (+5) on the final day of the tournament.
Natalie Spiska rounded out the Quinnipiac grouping in a tie for 27th place after shooting a 238 (+22) in three rounds.
Senior Emily Luu finished in a tie for 32nd place after she shot an 81 (+9) on the final 18 holes to bring her tournament total to 240 (+24).
Alexia Egdahl and Riley Carey were separated by just two strokes at the end of the tournament. Egdahl finished day two with a 79 (+7) and Carey finished with an 82 (+10). Egdahl's total was 241 (+25), while Carey's was 243 (+27).
The Bobcats will be back in action on, Saturday, October 21st as they compete in the Lady Blue Hen Invitational at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club in Rehoboth Beach, DE.
