Bobcats Win First Frozen Fenway, Defeat Harvard at Fenway Park

BOSTON, Mass—The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team took down ECAC Hockey rival Harvard after participating in Frozen Fenway for the first time in program history on Friday, January 6 at Fenway Park in Boston, Mass. The Bobcats defeated the Crimson 3-1 thanks to juniors Olivia Mobley, Nina Steigauf and first year Madison Chantler.
Graduate netminder Logan Angers made 20 saves against Harvard to secure QU's 19th victory of the year in front of a crowd of 2800 at a snowy Fenway Park.

- (4:03, 1st period, SH) Quinnipiac 1, Harvard 0: Graduate captain Lexie Adzija is back on the prowl as she tallied her first assist since returning to the lineup. Adzija picked the pocket of Harvard's Anne Bloomer at the Crimson blue line on the penalty kill, to find Olivia Mobley upstream of the Crimson defense. Mobley went five-hole on Alex Pelicci to give the Bobcats an early 1-0 lead at Fenway.
- (15:02, 2nd period, EV) Quinnipiac 2, Harvard 0: Junior Nina Steigauf embraced the Fenway atmosphere as she scored her second goal in as many games. Steigauf decided to host a batting practice in front of Pelicci when she batted a pass from Jess Schryver out of mid-air that beat Pelicci over the stick side shoulder.
- (1:27, 3rd period, EV) Quinnipiac 2, Harvard 1: Harvard's Shannon Hollands cut the Bobcat's lead in half as she was able to put one past Logan Angers less than two minutes into the final 20 mins.
- (2:15, 3rd period, EV) Quinnipiac 3, Harvard 1: First year Madison Chantler responded to the Crimson goal 48 seconds later. Jess Schryver capitalized on a puck handling error by Harvard and was able to tip the puck over to Chantler who rocketed one by Pelicci from just below the dot on the far side.

- Captain Lexie Adzija tallied her first point since October 15 after returning to the lineup on Dec. 31, 2022.
- Olivia Mobley's shorthanded goal marks the Bobcat's third of the year.
