Bercedo Nets 2 Goals in Bobcats' Victory Over Hartford

HAMDEN, Conn. – David Bercedo netted two of three Quinnipiac goals on Saturday afternoon, leading the Bobcats past Hartford, 3-0, in Hamden to continue non-league play.
The Bobcats move to 2-1 so far on the young season.
Bercedo's goals came in the 6th minute and 11th minute of action. Brage Aasen assisted on both goals from Bercedo. Jared Smith and Tomas Svecula added an assist each on the first and second goal, respectively. In the 64th minute, Svecula added a penalty kick goal to give the Bobcats insurance.
Goalkeeper Matthew Pisani made two saves, as the Bobcats defense earned its second clean sheet of the 2022 campaign.

QUINNIPIAC SCORING SUMMARY
- (6') – Brage Aasen played the ball down to Jared Smith in the box before Smith crossed it to the far post. Waiting at the back post was David Bercedo who slipped the ball past the Hawk's goalkeeper to give Quinnipiac an early 1-0 lead.
- (11') – Tomas Svecula saw an open Aasen at the top of the box and fed him the ball. Aasen made a beautiful back heel pass to an open David Bercedo who finished it off into the bottom left of the net to extend the lead to two.
- (64') – Quinnipiac drew a foul inside the attacking box and were rewarded a penalty kick. Tomas Svecula got the nod to take the shot and he took advantage, sending one into the back of the net to give the Bobcats a 3-0 lead.
