Bobcats Set for West Point Invite This Weekend

WEST POINT, NY – Quinnipiac women's tennis continues their 2022 season as they travel to West Point to compete in the West Point Invite on Friday, September 23rd to Sunday, September 25th.
BOBCATS COMPETE AT QUINNIPIAC HIDDEN DUALS

WEST POINT, NY – Quinnipiac women's tennis continues their 2022 season as they travel to West Point to compete in the West Point Invite on Friday, September 23rd to Sunday, September 25th.
BOBCATS COMPETE AT QUINNIPIAC HIDDEN DUALS
- The Bobcats won three total matches against Army West Point (9/9/22). Alessia Truden and Claire Koscielski earned a singles win for the Bobcats, while the pairing of Kamilla Nella/Alessia Truden won the lone doubles match.
- In day 2 of the Quinnipiac Hidden Duals, the Bobcats took seven total matches against the Fairfield Stags (9/10/22). Alessia Truden, Claire Koscielski, Kamilla Nella, Nikole Lisovyy, Mira Filiberti, and Alexandra Luehrman earned a singles win for the Bobcats and Nella/Truden won their second straight doubles match.
- The Bobcats rounded out their schedule at the Quinnipiac Hidden Duals by winning one match against the UConn Huskies (9/11/22). Claire Koscielski got the lone win for the Bobcats.
- The Bobcats cruised past Fairfield, 4-0, on April 24, 2022 to clinch the team's sixth MAAC title.
- Quinnipiac has won six MAAC championships/advanced to the NCAA Tournament six times under Head Coach Paula Miller since joining the league (2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2021-22).
- The Bobcats went 13-8 overall this past season, going 5-1 in MAAC play. QU's only MAAC loss came against Fairfield on April 13 – then the Bobcats defeated the Stags in the MAAC title contest down in New Jersey.

REGULAR SEASON SUCCESS
- QU is 54-1 in MAAC regular season matches since joining the league in 2013-14.
- Quinnipiac has earned MAAC Regular Season Champion status eight times.
- The Bobcats won 53 consecutive MAAC regular season matches (2013-2022) to begin QU's time in the league.
- Director of Tennis/Head Coach Paula Miller was named 2022 MAAC Coach of the Year after guiding the Bobcats to a 11-8 regular season mark. Under the guidance of Miller, the Bobcats have earned at least a share of the regular season MAAC title eight straight times since joining the MAAC in 2013-14.
- Miller has been named MAAC Coach of the Year six times (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022). She has led Quinnipiac to five MAAC Tournament titles and five NCAA Tournament appearances (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018).
- Quinnipiac earned 9 All-MAAC awards in total. Miller was named the league's Coach of the Year, four QU student-athletes made it to the All-MAAC First Team, and four earned a spot on the Second Team.
- The Bobcats earned four spots on the All-MAAC First Team. Claire Koscielski (#3 singles), Dominique Vasile (#4 singles), Brittney Wilbur (#6 singles) and Kamilla Nella/Alessia Truden (#1 doubles) all earned First-Team status.
- Alessia Truden (#1 singles), Jordan Bradley (#5 singles), Claire Koscielski/Brittney Wilbur (#2 doubles) and Jordan Bradley/Dominique Vasile (#3 doubles) were all tabbed All-MAAC Second Team honorees.
- Claire Koscielski led the Bobcats in singles wins (18) this year. The All-MAAC First Teamer went 18-8 overall in singles matches, and posted a perfect 8-0 mark from the No. 3 position.
- Alessia Truden posted an impressive 10-3 singles mark this year, including a 6-1 record from the No. 1 position.
- Kamilla Nella added 13 wins in singles play, recording a 6-2 record from the No. 2 spot.
- Dominique Vasile posted nine singles victories. The All-MAAC First Team honoree went 7-3 from the No. 4 spot.
- Graduate Student Brittney Wilbur earned 14 total singles wins, going 9-4 from the No. 6 spot to also earn a spot on the All-MAAC First Team.
- Jordan Bradley and Andie Williams each chipped in with eight singles wins.
- Kamilla Nella and Alessia Truden teamed up to post a 12-5 record together in doubles action. Nella and Truden went 11-4 together from the No. 1 position.
- Claire Koscielski/Brittney Wilbur were impressive as a duo, going 23-10 (13-5 as a No. 2 duo).

Mira Filiberti (Las Vegas, Nevada)
- Top 100/Top 50 nationally in every division
- Won multiple sectional tournaments
- Went to the semifinals in doubles of National Level 2 Tournaments
- Placed 4th at state individual during her freshman season
- Also won regionals as a freshman
- Babolat rankings: #4 in Nevada, #33 in Southwest
- This year in doubles: 2nd in 18's L3 National in Arizona (once in March, once in April)
- Won PIAA singles championships as a freshman
- Ranked as high as #97 nationally via Tennis Recruiting
- Babolat rankings: #5 in Pennsylvania, #27 in Middle Atlantic
