Bobcats Back in Hamden for Preseason

HAMDEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac field hockey hit the turf for its first practice of the fall 2022 season on Wednesday, Aug. 10.

The Bobcats begin preparation for the upcoming campaign, which begins officially on Aug. 26 in Hamden vs. New Hampshire.

QUOTING HEAD COACH Becca Main

"So far, I'm feeling a calm and a fierceness [from our group]. We came here to do a job, and there's something comforting about that... that's a really good sign for this group."

"Today was just – let's get the stick and the ball and the hands moving. We did a lot of skill training that our players are very familiar with. These are things they've seen before, which allows them to elevate on Day 1… This afternoon is going to be similar, we'll build on the concepts from this morning."

"We're very united... we have a good chemistry which we've been very much working on for six months, and you're starting to see that come to fruition."
