26 Student-Athletes Land on BIG EAST All-Academic Team

QU Field Hockey Places Program Best 26 Student-Athletes on BIG East All-Academic Team
NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac field hockey team placed a program-best 26 student-athletes on the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office on Thursday.
Quinnipiac's 26 selections are its most on a conference all-academic team in program history surpassing the previous team record of 25 previously set in 2019-20.
To be eligible for the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have attained a minimum 3.0 GPA for the 2021-22 academic year.
There are 2,889 honorees for the 2021-22 academic year. Villanova led the way with 349 student-athletes honored with Georgetown having the second most with 334. Butler had 271 student-athletes receiving certificates, rounding out the top three institutions. Affiliate student-athletes made up 169 of the honorees.
Earlier this offseason, Quinnipiac placed five student-athletes on the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad, as Brooke Whipkey, Jess Halley, Brenna Conway, Bevan Gebhardt and Kate Zamagni all received the distinction by registering at least a cumulative GPA of 3.9 for the first semester of the 2021-22 season.
