Bobcats Have Strong Showing at South Carolina, Rider

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac outdoor track & field had Bobcats competing at two different events on Saturday, April 23. A group of student-athletes competed at South Carolina's UofSC Open and finished with great individual results. In addition, a group of student-athletes traveled to Rider to compete at the Rider Invite, tallying numerous career best marks.
The Bobcats tallied seven top-ten finishes at the UofSC Open, which had over 30 programs competing in Columbia.

Quinnipiac will take a group to the Penn Relays April 28-30.

- Symone Foster finished in 10th place in the 100m hurdles preliminary race with a career-best time of 13.77. She was .02 seconds from qualifying in the top nine for the finals. Her time is the second-best time in program history.
- Aisha Gay finished in 12th place in the 400m dash with a career-best time of 55.02.
- Emily Young tallied a stellar time of 2:13.32 in the 800m and finished in fifth place overall. Asia Mercier finished in 11th place with a time of 2:16.41.
- Foster also competed in the 200m dash and tallied a time of 25.69, which was good for 61st place.
- Liv DiStefano placed eighth in the 1500m run with a time of 4:40.45, which is a career-best time.
- In the 100m dash, Britney Del Mundo tallied a time of 12.83.
- Mikah Maples tallied a second-place finish in the javelin with a 43.40m throw. She also competed in the discus and placed seventh (44.11m).
- Del Mundo finished eighth in the triple jump with a 11.59m mark.
- Kalli'ana Botelho tallied a sixth-place finish in the high jump with a 1.60m mark.

- Ana Caliri took sixth place in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 12:06.50.
- In the 1500m, Amanda Carlson took seventh place with a time of 4:42.97. Christina Gunsalus finished in 11th place with a time of 4:50.32. Marisa Keiser took 13th place with a time of 4:52.12, which is a personal-best time. Shannon Goria finished in 19th place with a time of 4:57.37.
- Eileen Donovan finished in 13th place in the 400m with a time of 1:03.63.
- In the 100m dash, Hayden Robinson led the Bobcats with a time of 12.77. Rylie Smith was not far behind in seventh place with a new season-best time (13.01). Hailey Tolson recorded a time of 13.72 in 18th place.
- Heather Feuchtenberger finished in fifth place in the 800m with a time of 2:12.62, which is a career-best time. Alyssa Romagnoli took ninth place with a career-best time (2:14.79). Brooke Hagen finished in 12th place with a time of 2:17.27. Jada Dennis tallied a time of 23rd place with a time of 2:22.63. Katie Bradley notched a time of 2:24.47, which is a career-best time, and finished in 26th. Cassidy Phillips finished in 29th place with a personal best (2:25.58).
- In the 400m hurdles, Camille Blain finished in second place with a time of 1:06.51, which is a career-best time.
- Robinson also tallied a second-place finish in the 200m with a time of 25.76. Smith finished in 12th place (26.72), and Camille Sweet took 23rd (28.42).
- Grace Michaud finished in sixth place in the 5000m with a time of 18:31.20, which is a season best. Lydia Keys notched a time of 18:34.96, finishing in seventh in the same event. Kate Gihorksi finished in ninth (18:53.54), and Samantha Leal tallied a time of 20:00.10 in 19th place.
- In the 3200m relay, the team of Feuchtenberger, Hagen, Phillips, Gunsalas, Dennis and Bradley took third place with a time of 9:29.37.
- The team of Romagnoli, Smith, Donovan and Blain took first place in the 1600m relay (4:07.11).
- In the high jump, Grace Davis finished fifth with a 1.50m mark.
- Camille Sweet finished in ninth place with a 10.82m mark in the triple jump, which is a career-best mark. Zekiah Lewis placed 11th with a 10.50m mark. Davis tallied a 9.87m mark, finishing in 18th place.
- Amanda Minervino took seventh place in the javelin with a 35.84m mark, which is a personal best.
Quinnipiac will take a group to the Penn Relays April 28-30.
