Bobcats Secure No. 2 Seed for MAAC Tournament With 71-49 Win over Rider

HAMDEN, Conn. – Mackenzie DeWees led the way with 13 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals, as the Quinnipiac women's basketball team downed MAAC foe Rider in the regular-season finale, 71-49, at home inside of the People's United Center on Saturday afternoon.
Mikala Morris contributed 10 points, eight rebounds and two blocks, while Sajada Bonner added 10 points in the victory.
The Bobcats closed the regular season with a 19-10 record on the season and a 14-6 mark in the MAAC with the victory, securing the No. 2 overall seed for the upcoming MAAC Tournament.

- QU was able to withstand the run, extending its lead to 45-32 by quarter's end
- The deficit proved to be too much for Rider as QU eventually held on for the 71-49 win
- Mackenzie DeWees led the way with 13 points, 10 rebounds and six assists
