ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team's comeback attempt fell short, as the No. 3 Manhattan Jaspers downed the No. 2 Bobcats, 72-59, in the MAAC Tournament Semifinals on Friday afternoon at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.
Cur'Tiera Haywood led the way with 16 points and six rebounds off the bench in the loss.

- The Jaspers used the opening two minutes of the contest to jump out to a 10-4 lead before carrying a 16-10 advantage into the media timeout with 4:44 remaining in the period
- QU's first quarter deficit reached 15 points before Manhattan took a 27-14 advantage into the second quarter
- With QU trailing 31-20 with 5:15 to go before halftime, the Bobcats closed the half with a 7-2 run to cut the deficit to eight into the break
- After falling behind 37-27, QU responded with a 9-3 run to cut the deficit to 41-36 midway through the third
- However, Manhattan outscored Quinnipiac 10-5 to close the third with a 51-43 lead
- The Bobcats opened the fourth with a 6-2 run to cut the deficit to 53-49 with seven minutes remaining in regulation
- With QU trailing 57-53, Manhattan responded with a 13-4 run to pull away before hanging on for the 72-59 victory over the Bobcats
- Quinnipiac trailed by as much as 15 in the contest and 10 in the second half
- Cur'Tiera Haywood led the way with 16 points and added six rebounds off the bench
- Haywood scored 11 of her 16 points in the first half
- Mikala Morris added 10 points and seven rebounds
- Mackenzie DeWees contributed nine points, six rebounds and two steals
