HAMDEN, Conn. – Junior forward Mikala Morris posted 24 points and 10 rebounds for her ninth double-double of the season to lead the Quinnipiac women's basketball team past Canisius at home, 76-55, Monday afternoon inside of the People's United Center.

Mackenzie DeWees added 19 points, seven rebounds and three assists, while Amani Free contributed nine points in the victory.

The Bobcats improved to 14-8 on the season and 9-4 in the MAAC with the win, while the Golden Griffins fell to 3-19 on the campaign and 1-1 in conference-play with the loss.

The Bobcats used the first 6:40 of the second quarter to outscore the Golden Griffins 14-3 to extend their lead to 32-11, before taking a 34-15 lead into halftime
Despite Canisius outscoring Quinnipiac 18-15 in the third quarter, the Bobcats took a comfortable 49-33 lead into the fourth
The lead proved to be too much, as Quinnipiac eventually coasted to a 76-55 victory
