No. 6 Bobcats Down No. 7 Rider, Earn MAAC Title Appearance

ORLANDO, Fla. – Behind double-doubles from Aryanah Diaz and Ginevra Giovagnoni, the No. 6 Quinnipiac volleyball team downed No. 7 Rider in straight sets in the MAAC Semifinals held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports on Friday afternoon. With the victory, the Bobcats advance to the MAAC Championship for the first time since 2019.
Ginevra Giovagnoni led the way with 15 kills and 12 digs, while Aryanah Diaz added 12 kills and 14 digs for double-doubles.

SET ONE (26-24, Quinnipiac)
The two sides traded points to a 17-17 tie before Quinnipiac inched ahead 19-17. After battling back-and-forth to a 24-24 set tie, a kill from Nicole Legg and a Rider attack error sealed the set victory for the Bobcats.
SET TWO (28-26)
The two sides traded points to an early 4-4 tie before Rider pushed ahead 15-10 in the set. Trailing 20-15, the Bobcats ran off an 8-2 run to take a 23-22 lead, forcing a Rider timeout. The two sides proceeded to trade points to a 26-26 score before kills from Aryanah Diaz and Ginevra Giovagnoni secured the set win for the Bobcats, putting Quinnipiac up 2-0.
SET THREE (25-11)
After playing to a 3-3 tie, the Bobcats went on an 8-0 run, led by two service aces and a kill from Nicole Legg to take a commanding 11-3 lead in the set. Rider countered with a 4-1 run before the Bobcats went on a 4-1 run themselves to push ahead 17-8. The Bobcats never looked back in the set, going on to take the set 25-11 and the match 3-0.

- With the win, the Bobcats advance to the MAAC Championship
- QU will take on No. 1 Fairfield on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 1 PM from the ESPN Wide World of Sports
