HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac field hockey battled against No. 9 Saint Joseph's on Sunday afternoon, falling by the final score of 4-1 at the QU Field Hockey Stadium.
Rachel Papernik scored the Bobcats' lone goal, a second-quarter strike that tied things heading into halftime. QU outshot the Hawks 6-2 in the second period of action.
The Bobcats drop to 4-9 with the loss (1-5 at home).

- Q1 – (7:24) – Noa Schuringa scored the game's first goal less than eight minutes into action, giving Saint Joseph's the early 1-0 advantage in Hamden.
- Q2 – (26:31) – Rachel Papernik scored to even things 1-1 just before the halftime break. Papernik collected possession off a saves shot, evaded a defender moving to her right and found the back of the cage to get the Bobcats on the board.
- Q3 – (41:00) – Hailey Bitters scored with an assist to Maaike Gorissen to give Saint Joseph's another lead.
- Q4 – (48:36) – Manu Ghigliotti scored less than eight minutes later, opening up the Hawks lead to 3-1 in the fourth quarter of action.
