HAMDEN, Conn. – Lucia Pompeo, Emilia Massarelli and Stella Tegtmeier scored a goal apiece to lead the Quinnipiac field hockey program past Georgetown home, 3-1, at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Stadium on Friday afternoon.

SCORING SUMMARY
●      Q1 – (12:44) – Lucia Pompeo was Quinnipiac's choice for the penalty shot, as she lined up after the whistle and fired the ball past the right side of the keeper to put the Bobcats ahead 1-0
●      Q2 – (21:28) – Off a penalty corner insert, Lily Jamison redirected a shot on net past the keeper to knot the game at 1-1
●      Q3 – (35:11) – Emilia Massarelli carried the ball from the defensive side of the field and into the offensive zone from the wing. She lined up her shot and fired low and past the keeper to give QU a 2-1 lead
●      Q4 – (50:09) – Off a penalty corner, Stella Tegtmeier received a pass from from Micaela Grajales after the insert and fired low for a goal to extend the Bobcats' lead to 3-1

●      Pompeo's goal was her fifth of the season, tying her the team lead with Tegtmeier and Massarelli
●      Pompeo boasts 11 points on the campaign, slotting her third on the team
●      Massarelli's goal was her fifth of the season, tying her for the team lead
●      Massarelli owns 12 points on the season which is second on the team
●      Massarelli has scored a goal in three of Quinnipiac's last four matches
●      Tegtmeier's goal was her fifth of the season, tying her for the team lead
●      Tegtmeier is tops on the team with 13 points on the season
●      Micaela Grajales and Eva Veldhorst tallied an assist apiece in the victory
●      Veldhorst leads the Bobcats with four assists on the season
●      Grajales' assist was her second of the season
●      Nina Santore recorded two saves in the win

UP NEXT
●      QU will be back in action on Sunday, Oct. 16, when the Bobcats travel take on in-state foe Fairfield on the road
