QU Earns 5th MAAC Win, Cruising Past Mountaineers

Bobcats Move to 5-1-2 in MAAC
EMMITSBURG, Md – Noah Silverman and Tomas Svecula both scored twice to help pace the Bobcats' offense, as Quinnipiac men's soccer downed Mount St. Mary's, 5-0, on Wednesday night on the road.
QU moves to 10-3-3 overall. The Bobcats extend their unbeaten streak to seven games in the road victory.
Quinnipiac's defense earned its seventh clean sheet of the year, as the Bobcats recorded a third-straight shutout in MAAC action.
Eric Da Costa's squad moves to 5-1-2 in MAAC action (17 points), sitting in second place in the league standing's behind only Manhattan (18 points).
Noah Silverman scored two goals over the first 3:19 of action, while Tomas Svecula scored in the 49th minute and the 68th minute. David Bercedo – the MAAC's leading goal scorer – registered his 11th score of the season in the second half, as well.

- (2' – Quinnipiac 1, MSM 0): Quinnipiac got on the board first, as Noah Silverman blasted a rebound into the back of the net. David Bercedo earned an assist on the score, as he fired the original shot on the Mount St. Mary's keeper that deflected toward Silverman.
- (4' – Quinnipiac 2, MSM 0): Noah Silverman got behind the defense again less than two minutes later, scoring from the left side of the box to extend QU's lead to two goals.
- (50' – Quinnipiac 3, MSM 0): Tomas Svecula scored on a quick restart to start the second half, with an assist to Noah Silverman to make it 3-0 Bobcats.
- (62' – Quinnipiac 4, MSM 0): David Bercedo struck for his 11th goal of the season in the 62nd minute of play, making it a four-goal advantage. Brage Aasen and Alex Miller each recorded an assist on the goal.
