Five Unanswered Power No. 8 Bobcats to Road Victory at No. 3 North Dakota

GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Down 2-1 after the first, the No. 7/8 Quinnipiac University men's hockey team rattled off five unanswered to fly to a 6-2 victory over No. 3 North Dakota on Saturday night at Ralph Engelstad Arena.
Ethan de Jong scored a pair and the Bobcats are coming out of Grand Forks with an unbeaten weekend after yesterday's tie.
Sam Lipkin and Collin Graf added multi-point days, with both players dishing two assists. Collin helped on the last two goals of the second that turned a 2-2 tie into a 4-2 Quinnipiac lead with all three goals in that frame coming in a 4:01 span.
Quinnipiac's offense was powered by five different goalscorers, while defensemen Iivari Rasanen and Jayden Lee both posted a +3 from the blue line.

The Bobcats hit the road again for a non-conference weekend, taking on Maine on Oct. 22 and 23 at Alfond Sports Arena. Faceoffs are scheduled for 7:05 p.m., and 4:05 p.m., respectively.

STATS AND NOTES
- Saturday night was de Jong's third-career, multi-goal game and his first of 2022-23. His last multi-tally night was a hat trick against St. Lawrence on Nov. 20, 2021.
- It is also his second multi-point night of the year. He recorded a goal and an assist on opening night against Boston College.
- Graf recorded his second, multi-assist night and first in a Quinnipiac uniform. He dished a pair of helpers against Colgate on Feb. 11, 2022 as a member of Union.
- Lipkin's multi-assist night is the first such night of his career, as well as his first, multi-point performance.
- The 11 goals are tied for the most in a regular season weekend since the 2009-10 campaign, when they combined for 12 across two games with Brown and Yale at home.
- It is also tied for the most goals in a regular season road weekend since the turn of the millennium, when they scored 14 at Fairfield on Feb. 18 and 19, 2000.
