VAN CORTLAND PARK, N.Y. - The Quinnipiac women's cross country team took second place overall at Iona on Friday, Sept. 17. Senior Emily Young led the team with a fourth place finish (18:35.4) in the 5k race. Young has led the Bobcats with two top-five finishes in the team's first two meets this season.

Johns Hopkins took first place overall with 45 points. Quinnipiac finished in second with 67 points and two top ten finishers. Monmouth's Sammi Ragenklint won the meet with a time of 18:06.0.

Individual Results

Young tallied a time of 18:35.4 to led the team with a fourth-place finish.
Sophomore Liv DiStefano recorded a time of 18:42.0, finishing in seventh place.
In 12th place, sophomore Alessandra Zaffina tallied a time of 18:50.9.
Graduate student Amanda Carlson finished in 20th place with a time of 19:15.8.
First-year Grace Michaud took 29th place with a time of 19:42.1.
Not far behind Michaud, sophomore Corinne Barney finished in 31st place with a time of 19:48.5.
Senior Marisa Keiser notched a time of 19:54.6, finishing in 37th place.
In 43rd place, senior Kate Gihorski finished with a time of 20:05.7.
