Bobcats Kick Off Season at Boston College Aug. 27, Host Nine Games in 2021
- 2021 QUINNIPIAC FIELD HOCKEY SCHEDULE
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac field hockey head coach Becca Main has announced the Bobcats 2021 schedule featuring nine games at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Stadium.
After a pair of exhibitions with Holy Cross on Aug. 18 and Bryant on Aug. 21, Quinnipiac begins play in the 2021 season with a trip to Boston College on Aug. 27. The Bobcats and Eagles have matched up on the opening weekend of the season in five of the last seven seasons.
Quinnipiac hits the road for another road game the following weekend to open up the month of September as the Bobcats travel down I-95 to New York City to face Columbia on Sept. 5.
The Bobcats kick off a stretch of three straight home games beginning with a pair of home weekend matches with the home opener on Sept. 10 against Fairfield and Sept. 12 vs. Lafayette before beginning BIG EAST play the following weekend when the Bobcats host Temple on Sept. 17.
Quinnipiac begins three straight road games on Sept. 19 with a trip to Long Island to take on Hofstra. The following weekend, the Bobcats will fly down to Old Dominion to face the Monarchs in BIG EAST play on Sept. 24 and return to the Northeast and travel to Staten Island to take on Wagner on Sept. 26.
Another three-game homestand awaits the Bobcats to kick off October as the Bobcats host Liberty on Oct. 1 and Liberty on Oct. 3. The UConn Huskies come to Hamden to wrap up the Bobcats' three-game homestand the next weekend with an Oct. 8 matchup.
Quinnipiac returns to BIG EAST play for three of the final four games of the 2021 season as the Bobcats travel to Georgetown on Oct. 15, host Villanova on Oct. 22 and wrap up the conference slat on Oct. 29 with a trip to Providence.
The Bobcats conclude the 2021 regular season with a non-conference matchup against Sacred Heart on Oct. 31.
The BIG EAST Tournament is slated for the first weekend of November from Nov. 5-7.
