Foster, Gay Win Events at BU's Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener

BOSTON, Mass. - The Quinnipiac women's indoor track & field traveled to Boston, Mass., to compete at Boston University's Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. Seniors Symone Foster and Aisha Gay both tallied first-place finishes in the 60m hurdles and the 300m run, respectively, while Gay's finish broke the school record in the event.
Senior Kalli'ana Botelho also had a great day with a third and second place finish in the 200m and high jump events, respectively. Botelho was the top collegiate runner in the 200m.

Bobcats on the Track | Results
- Senior Symone Foster placed first overall in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.67, which was .01 second off of her career best time.
- Juniors Jordan Mayo and Hayden Robinson raced in the 60m dash for the Bobcats. Mayo took third in her preliminary heat (8.27), and Robinson also placed third (8.20).
- Senior Kalli'ana Botelho placed third overall and top collegiate in the 200m final with a time of 25.06, just .08 off of her personal best. Robinson finished in eighth place in the 200m (25.69). Foster tied for 14th place with a time of 26.08, which is a new career-best for the senior.
- In their first collegiate meets, first-year Hailey Tolson finished in 20th place overall (27.08), and Avery Jordan took 22nd (27.37).
- Senior Aisha Gay tallied a first-place finish in the 300m with a school-record time of 38.77. Alyssa Romagnoli was not far behind, taking third place with a time of 39.75, which was not far off of the school record time and is now ranked in the top three best times in school history.
- Sophomore Eileen Donovan finished in 15th overall in the 300m (42.81). First-year Rylie Smith finished in 19th place in her collegiate debut with a time of 43.18.
- In the 1000m, Asia Mercier took eighth place with a time of 3:03.40.
- Senior Brooke Hagen finished in 19th place in the 1 mile run with a time of 5:22.36.
- In the 4x400m relay, the team of Romagnoli, Donovan, Smith and Gay took fourth place with a time of 3:55.64.
- Botelho finished in second place overall in the high jump with a 1.65m mark. First-year Olaitan Olagundoye made her collegiate debut in the high jump, taking seventh place overall with a 1.55m mark. Grace Davis took 12th with a 1.50m mark.
- First-year Hannah Sumby made her collegaite debut in the high jump, recording a 16th place finish overall posting a 2.85m mark.
- Four Bobcats competed in the long jump. Sophomore Camille Sweet led the team with a 12th place finish with a 5.15m leap. Sophomore Zekiah Lewis finished right behind Sweet with a 13th place finish (5.13m mark). Tolson took 18th place with a 4.74m mark, and graduate student Britney Del Mundo finished in 19th with a 4.70m jump.
- In the triple jump, Del Mundo led the Bobcats with a fifth-place finish, recording a 10.97m mark. Lewis was right behind Del Mundo in sixth place (10.48m). Sweet took ninth place with a 10.68m mark, and Davis finished in 11th with a 9.65m jump.
- Graduate student Mikah Maples posted a 12.86m throw in the shot put, finishing in fourth place overall.
- In the weight throw, Maples finished in fifth place with a 13.38m toss.
- Quinnipiac will compete in one more meet in December at the Yale Season Opener on Saturday, Dec. 11.
