QU Dominates in 5-0 Win over Saint Anselm

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team took down the Saint Anselm Hawks, 5-0, on Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats are 6-0 on the season and have recorded the best start in program history.
Five different Bobcats scored goals in the shutout victory. Junior Sadie Peart, senior Lexia Adzija and sophomore Kendall Cooper all had a goal and an assist each. Graduate student Corinne Schroeder made seven saves and earned her first shutout win of the season.

- (3:17, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, Saint Anselm 0: Junior Sadie Peart kept her stellar play going and scored the Bobcats' first goal of the game in the second period. Graduate student Olivia Konigson shot the puck from the left side, and Peart tipped it in past Saint Anselm's Allie Kelley.
- (19:19, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 2, Saint Anselm 0: The Peart-Hoskin-Naud line continued to dominate as junior Alexa Hoskin scored her second goal of the weekend inside the slot. Both Peart and Naud tallied assists on the goal.
- (8:36, 3rd period, PP) – Quinnipiac 3, Saint Anselm 0: Sophomore Olivia Mobley scored on the power play to give the Bobcats a 3-0 lead. Senior Lexie Adzija and Cooper tallied assists on the goal.
- (9:27, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 4, Saint Anselm 0: The Bobcats took a 4-0 lead after Cooper scored her first goal of the season from Adzija and junior Jess Schryver.
- (10:33, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 5, Saint Anselm 0: First-year Veronica Bac made it 5-0 after scoring an unassisted goal from the point.
- Peart, Adzija and Cooper all had two points in the win.
- Cooper scored her first goal of the season in the third.
- Mobley netted the Bobcats' fourth power play of the year.
- Peart continues her strong play and has scored at least one point in every game this season.
- Naud leads the first years with six points on six assists.
