Friedmann Scores Twice, Bobcats Blank #18 Northeastern

Perets Earns First Career Shutout
WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior TJ Friedmann scored twice and sophomore goaltender Yaniv Perets earned his first career victory and shutout as the #9/9 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team played the #18 Northeastern Huskies at the DCU Center on Saturday afternoon.
Fellow senior Michael Lombardi buried a loose puck to open the scoring just 85 seconds into the game. The Rhode Island native trailed an odd-man rush and finished the play for the game's first goal.
Eight minutes later, Friedmann gained possession in the low slot and fired one off the crossbar and in to double the Quinnipiac lead. The St. Louis native duplicated his tally with another late in the second period when he finished off a solid tic-tac-toe connection with a good move in tight.

- Perets made 19 saves in the shutout. The Bobcats threw 31 shots at Northeastern goaltender Devon Levi.
- Quinnipiac dominated the faceoff circle again, 31-17 over the Huskies.
- The outing was the first multi-point game of Friedmann's career. He is the seventh active Bobcat with at least one multi-goal game in a career.
- Brind'Amour's assist was his third point of the weekend after recording a goal and an assist against #6/8 Boston College last night.
- Through two games this season, the Bobcats have nine players with at least one point.
- Quinnipiac heads to Burlington, Vt. on Saturday, October 16 to take on the UVM Catamounts. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
