Peart, Naud Lead Bobcats Past Saint Anselm

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team defeated the Saint Anselm Hawks, 4-3, in a Friday night battle at the People's United Center. Junior Sadie Peart and first-year Ann-Frédérik Naud
both recorded three points in the win. Seven different Bobcats recorded at least one point in the victory.
The Bobcats outshot the Hawks, 44-13. Saint Anselm's Allie Kelley (QU transfer) made 40 saves for the Hawks.

SCORING SUMMARY
- (4:49, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, Saint Anselm 0: Quinnipiac got the scoring started early in the first period. Senior Zoe Boyd found first-year Ann-Frederik Naud in the corner. Naud then sent a puck into the crease to find junior Sadie Peart. Peart pushed the puck in past Saint Anselm's Allie Kelley to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead.
- (5:56, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 2, Saint Anselm 1: Peart scored her second goal of the game off a rebound. Graduate student Olivia Konigson received the puck from Naud at the point and sent it on goal. Peart shot the rebound first time past Kelley to give the Bobcats a 2-1 lead.
- (18:56, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 2, Saint Anselm 2: The Hawks tied the game late in the second period. Claire Weber netted her second of the game from Brinna Martin and Tyra Turner.
- (00:20, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 3, Saint Anselm 2: Senior Lexie Adzija secured the puck on the breakout in the neutral zone and found junior Jess Schryver. Schryver sent it straight back to Adzija and she buried it past Kelley.
- (4:06, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 4, Saint Anselm 2: Junior Alexa Hoskin netted her fifth goal of the season off a rebounded shot by Peart. Naud and Peart each earned their third point of the night.
- (18:10, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 4, Saint Anselm 3: The Hawks scored with under two minutes to play to pull within one goal. Devin Porazinkski scored and was assisted by Tyra Turner.
- Six different Bobcats recorded at least one point in the win.
