Bobcats Erase 2-0 Second Period Deficit
WORCESTER, Mass. – The No. 9/9 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team battled back to erase a 2-0 deficit and earned a 2-2 tie against #6/8 Boston College in the opening game of the 2021 Ice Breaker Tournament.
Sophomore Ty Smilanic and junior Skyler Brind'Amour both scored in the season opener while sophomore goaltender Yaniv Perets made 17 saves in his first career start.
The Eagles won the shootout to earn an extra point towards the Ice Breaker Tournament standings, but officially, the game counts as a 2-2 tie for national rankings/statistics.
