DiStefano Leads Bobcats at MAAC Championships, QU Takes Third

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Quinnipiac women's cross country team placed third overall at the 2021 MAAC Championship 6K meet on Saturday, October 30. Two Bobcats tallied top-ten finishes - sophomore Liv DiStefano led the Bobcats with a fifth-place finish (21:20.6) and senior Emily Young finished in sixth with a time of 21:25.9. Both DiStefano and Young were named to the All-MAAC Team at the conclusion of the race.
Iona took first place overall with 36 points. Quinnipiac finished in third with 84 points and two top ten finishers. Iona's Sophie Murphy won the meet with a time of 20:58.7.

- DiStefano placed fifth to lead the team with a time of 21:20.6, which is a new personal-best time in the 6K by one second.
- Young took sixth place with a time of 21:25.9.
- Sophomore Alessandra Zaffina was the next-best finisher for Quinnipiac in 20th place (22:16.6).
- Not far behind Zaffina was senior Amanda Carlson in 21st place with a time of 22:19.4.
- Senior Kate Gihorski recorded a time of 22:54.9 in 32nd place.
- First-year Lydia Keys took 41st place with a time of 23:09.1.
- First-year Grace Michaud was right behind Keys, finishing in 42nd place with a time of 23:13.7.
- Finishing in 51st place, junior Clare Veverka tallied a time of 23:23.0.
- In 52nd place, sophomore Corinne Barney notched a time of 23:25.3.
- Junior Marisa Keiser took 58th place (23:44.3).
- Senior Heather Feuchtenberger finished in 59th place with a time of 23:45.2.
- Junior Cassidy Phillips took 71st place with a time of 24.00.1.
- Finishing in 73rd place was sophomore Jada Dennis with a time of 24:05.9.
- In 75th place, sophomore Ana Caliri notched a time of 24:22.8.
