Emily Young Leads Bobcats at CCSU Mini Meet

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac women's cross country team competed at the 18th Annual CCSU Mini Meet on Friday afternoon. Senior Emily Young led the Bobcats with a second-place individual finish for the Bobcats. She took second overall in the Women's 3k Varsity run with a time of 9:38.0.
The Bobcats also finished second overall as a team in the women's 3k varsity race and third in the sub varsity 3k Race.

- Senior Emily Young led the team with a time of (9.38.0) and finished in second place.
- Sophomore Liv DiStefano took fourth place with a time of 9:44.5.
- In 19th place, sophomore Alessandra Zaffina recorded a time of 10:08.6.
- Senior Amanda Carlson took 20th place with time of 10:10.8.
- Graduate student Heather Feuchtenberger came in 27th place with a time of 10:21.4.
- Senior Kate Gihorski finished in 31st place (10:28.8).
- Sophomore Jada Dennis recorded a time of 10:58.6 in 62nd place.
- Leading the Bobcats in ninth place was first year Grace Michaud, who finished with a time of 10:36.6.
- Not far behind Michaud, first-year Lydia Keys finished with a time of 10:40.9 in 10th place.
- Just behind Keys was junior Marisa Keiser in 11th place (10.40.9)
- Sophomore Corinne Barney notched a time of 10:46.1, finishing in 13th place.
- Junior Clare Veverka took 14th place (10:48.8).
- Right behind Ververka in 15th place, was senior Katie Bradley (10.49.0)
- Sophomore Asia Mercier finished in 18th place with a time of 10.53.2.
- In 20th place, senior Mia Pestle recorded a time of 10.54.0.
- Sophomore Ana Caliri took 21st place, notching a time of 10:56.3.
- Junior Cassidy Phillips took 31st place with a time of 11:08.8.
- Senior Madeleine Shellard took in 52nd place (11.30.3).
- In 55th place was first year Christina Gunsalus, who tallied a time of 11:33.4.
- Quinnipiac will be back in action in Orlando, F.L., at the MAAC Championships on Oct. 30.
