
Yoshida and Peralta Tie for 8th After Round One at SHU Fall Invite

MILFORD, Conn. – Quinnipiac golf opened the first round of the Sacred Heart Invitational with a fifth place finish among 11 teams, shooting 319 (+31), 12 strokes behind first-place Boston University.
First year Meg Yoshida and junior Leeyan Peralta were Quinnipiac's highest finishers of the round, tying for eighth place. The duo each shot 78 (+6) to kick off the event held at the Great River Golf Course.
Sophomore Aimee Uchida continued her strong start to the season, scoring an 81 (+9) to tie for 23rd in the first round of competition. First year Elyse Kim narrowly trailed Uchida on the scoresheet, tying for 29th after shooting an 82 (+10) to open the event. Senior Elena Lopez rounded out the Bobcats' group, as she tied for 44th after turning in an 87 (+15).
Quinnipiac also had three individuals compete at the SHU Invitational, led by senior Darby Lillibridge and junior Mia Grzywinski. The duo each tied for 23rd after shooting 81 (+9) apiece. Senior Amanda Tully rounded out Quinnipiac's scoring with a 95 (+23).
The Bobcats will be back in action on Monday, Oct. 18 when they wrap play at the Sacred Heart Invitational held at the Great River Golf Club in Milford, Connecticut.
