Bobcats edged by Saints in final regular season road weekend
CANTON, N.Y. – The No. 10 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team dropped the last regular season road game to the St. Lawrence Saints, 3-2, on Saturday afternoon. Junior Taylor House and senior Kenzie Prater both scored for Quinnipiac. The Bobcats clinched a spot in the ECAC Quarterfinals for the 11th season in a row after the weekend of conference games. The final regular season games for all teams will be played next weekend.
Against the Saints, Quinnipiac came back after being down by a goal to take the lead in the third period after scoring back-to-back goals eight seconds apart. The Saints, however, later scored two unanswered goals to earn the win.

- (8:00, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, St. Lawrence 1: The Bobcats tied the game with a goal from junior Taylor House. House recovered the puck off a turnover in the offensive zone and scored top-shelf past Lucy Morgna.
- (8:08, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 2, St. Lawrence 1: Quinnipiac took the lead eight seconds later in the third period with a goal from senior Kenzie Prater. Prater threw a dump in pass into the offensive zone and scored.
- (10:30, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 2, St. Lawrence 2: Skylar Podvey tied the game with a shot from the point that slid past Ives.
- (11:51, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 2, St. Lawrence 3: Kayla Vespa scored the game-winning goal with under nine minutes left in the game from Maggie McLaughlin and Kalie Grant.
- Taylor House scored her eighth goal of the year and now has 13 points on the season.
- Kenzie Prater tallied her fifth goal of the year on a wild shot from the red line. She now has 15 points this season.
- Junior Olivia Konigson added an assist on Prater's goal.
- Senior netminder Abbie Ives recorded 21 saves in the lost. She moves to 15-10-3 this season.
- The Bobcats were outshot 20-24.
- House and Prater's were scored eight seconds apart (8:00 and 8:08), which ties the program's record of quickest back-to-back goals. The first time this had been done was on Jan. 30, 2010 in a 3-1 win against Union.
- The Bobcats will return home to face Yale and Brown on Feb. 21-22. Quinnipiac will honor the team's five seniors on Saturday against Brown.
