Falzon Scores 15 Points, Marfo Grabs 14 More Rebounds
RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Quinnipiac men's basketball fell by the final score of 67-59 on Thursday night at Draddy Gymnasium. With the loss, the Bobcats drop to 4-1 in MAAC play so far in 2019-20.
Kevin Marfo grabbed 14 more rebounds, adding nine points in the effort. Marfo remains the only player in Division I basketball to record 10+ rebounds each time his team has taken the floor this season.
Aaron Falzon (season-high 15 points) and Matt Balanc (13 points) paced the Bobcats offense.

- Quinnipiac shot 19-of-53 (35.8 percent) from the floor in total, knocking down 10 more three-point field goals. It's the Bobcats' eighth game of the season with 10+ made shots from distance.
- Aaron Falzon's season-best 15 points came via 5-of-9 shooting, as the graduate student went 3-for-6 from three-point range. The Bobcats closed the first half on a 9-3 run over the final 2:45, as Falzon converted on two three-point attempts during that span.
- Matt Balanc added 13 points and four rebounds, going 5-for-8 from the field and 3-for-5 from distance. The First Year now has seven games with 10+ points.
- Kevin Marfo went 7-of-10 from the free throw line en route to a nine-point performance. His 14 rebounds raises his season average to 13.9 – which ranks No. 2 nationally.
- Rich Kelly added nine points, five assists and two rebounds. He's recorded 5+ assists in nine separate games.
- First-Year guard Brendan McGuire added six points, four assists and four rebounds, while sophomore Tyrese Williams added five points and four rebounds.
The Jaspers grabbed 44 total rebounds, and Quinnipiac grabbed 41. - The Bobcats are now 6-8 all-time vs. Manhattan.
- The Bobcats return to Hamden for another conference contest on Saturday, Jan. 18, hosting Saint Peter's in Hamden at 4:30 p.m.
